Close to Christmas

Well guess its that time of the year again and it"s come around so quickly I can't believe it!
I"ve thankfully bought all my presents and already wrapped, with the exception of my other half..(note I didn't say better half)...as I always leave him till last so I can concentrate just on him.

Anyway as I was saying time certainly flies, which brings me to a horrid thought...Just after Christmas I turn ......ahhhhh.....69!!!!!!!!!!!  Can't believe it. Seems like it was only yesterday I was getting married...errr.... (for the second time)!!

Anyway..I think I'll concentrate on what I'm  doing next. First of all I have to fly back to Melbourne and then take the ferry to Queenscliff.

Its brothers and sisters weekend, an event we have every year at my brothers palatial home. (also the ex husbands are invited as they are still a part of the family)think thats one in the background!

We all have our own bedrooms and bathrooms and privacy which is fab.

We start off with the cocktail hour then entrees, main, deserts etc. We also have some ridiculous but funny games to play which gets us laughing.

Its amazing how us old farts can act like teenagers again when all our little darlings (not little anymore but have kids of their own)  are not here to look despairingly at us!

Then it's hangover morning when we all look worse for wear..have breaky and by afternoon have all trickled back to wherever we came from, happy and content with a slight headache! Great time had by all.

Husband has to fly back to cairns while I stay down for a couple of weeks residing at our other place in mornington.  Then in two weeks time we have a pre christmas party at my sisters with all the kids, cousins and babies  and hubby will fly back again!!

(theres certainly a lot of us so lots of fun).....this was last year and one I couldn't make it to sadly!!
Then hop on a plane back to have our christmas lunch with our staff....which is always great cause we have the best girls!

oh that bloke on the right we just picked up....hes the manager of a big hotel which the name at the moment  escapes me!! ........Well you guessed it....back on a plane to melbourne to be with my gorgeous girls (3) and my beautiful grandkids! (3)

I wish every one a fabulous Christmas and hopefully a more peaceful and more prosperous world for everyone!!!...God Bless!

Too Sad

Well this is a post that I really don't like to think about!
We've lost 3 beautiful people in the last 12 mths....so sad.
Never to be seen again are 2 brother in laws and a sister in law.....two to that bastard of a disease cancer and one to pancreatitis!
The ones with cancer went through all the horror of conventional medicine....chemo, radiation and just ended up worse off and suffered terribly.
The cancer institute have millions upon millions of dollars and more campaigns to drum up even more dollars and no cure!...its astounding!
I've looked into the whole scenario ....read, watched videos, listened to people talk of their experiences and have come to the conclusion that the natural way to go is the best.
Doctors even though their intentions (for most) are good, there are a large portion who's main objective is to make as much money as they can by talking the patient into chemo and radiation.
They buy the chemo from the drug companies and sell it to the patient at inflated prices! Now I'm not saying all are like this ...but hey...more people are killed by the chemical cocktail put into an already diseased body than cured!!!!

After watching this and further similar videos, nutrition and what we put into our bodies is crucial!
This video is of course is not the only way to beat that bastard of a disease, there are other testimonials of brave wonderful people who have gone against conventional treatment and not listened to all the negative comments and beaten cancer and other diseases!

 Fear is the biggest threat and I don't blame them, I would have been the same...people make decisions based on that fear....its a bloody scary time and you'd have to have a lot of strength to go against conventional treatment as the doctors are dead set against it.... but if you have someone  there supporting you with that decision then thats half the battle!

Mark, Jenny and Gary were all lucky to have had the most amazing support of their loved ones and they fought the battle to the very end with conventional medicine  but sadly lost!  Now I see the pain and terrible loss they are going through my heart goes out to them.
Its too late for them but just investigating and making up your mind with a bit more knowledge maybe cancer doesn't have to be a death sentence!!!

If you decide to go the conventional way after watching these videos and theres plenty more,  then thats your choice and yours alone, no one has the right to tell you what to do and so should respect you decision.   All I'm trying to get across is, listen, before you make that final choice!!!!!...

So this post is dedicated to three beautiful souls that will be loved and missed terribly forever!

Back in Melbourne and then off again back to Port!!!!

Back again in melbourne after a week in Perth......LOVE Perth!
Wide open spaces, clean beautiful city, but enuff of that already did a blog on Perth on my last trip!
Was staying in melbourne for the whole of June but received a call from my lovely nephew and his beautiful wife to see if they could stay with us in port!  So off I go again on another plane
back to Port Douglas to get the place ready for them and their gorgeous little children!

Been Gone Awhile!

OMG...been gone for so long I wondered if my blog was still up!!
Life has a way of slipping by so fast I'm always shocked when Christmas makes it appearance so rapidly!
Sixty eight years old now and staring straight in the eyes of 70. I will not, shall not,  celebrate my 70th fat.  Im walking everyday, watching what I eat but when it comes to a nice glass of wine ..well...cant seem to resist. ...Bugger!  well at least I've still got 18months left to be fabulous!
