Mobiles !!!

Mobile Phones and there data usage!!!! Makes me want to throw up my hands in despair !
Ive just had an excessive bill because I went over my data. So just having payed that I'm just 3-4 days into my new month and I get a text saying I've used up 50% of my new data with 26 days left to go!!
ARE YOU KIDDING!!!  How is this possible?
So here we go Telstra.....spent the good part of an hr (maybe more) time on chat 24/7 which kept shutting down in the middle of conversation to find out I have to turn off the cellular data when not in use as it uses up all my usage!!!     Well we'll see....will be keeping an eye on that one!  No one I know has that problem and they are always on their phone!!

Had to settle down after our last few hectic days of theme parks.  Had an enjoyable day just pottering around doing mundane things like washing and getting rid of 2000 emails...!!  Technology..... don't know how to live with it, don't know how to live without it!!   It's suppose to make things easier but somehow it makes things more frustrating.  

Take example of just going into a shop and buying something. They'd take your money and give you your change and before you could say thanks and goodbye you'd be out the door and on your way!  Now......you go to buy something and they go  tapping away at the computer and tapping and tapping and ten mins later your out the door, thats if the computer hasn't decided to freeze!!! And it does so frequently!!

Oh well its here to stay so I'd better just pull me head in and get on with it!   Wouldn't have been able to blog 10yrs ago...so there!

So as a Nanna my little grandson started preschool today.  Of course its only for 3-4 hrs a week but thats enough for his mum to have some respite!    She still has a two year old at home tho, but it'll be a lot quieter!

Well I'm now off to have an early night and enjoy reading a very intriguing book called ENCHANTRESS (The Evermen Saga Book 1).......loving it and hopefully there will be more!

Theme Parks!

What a super day.  Weather turned up trumps, sunny and hot.
Maybe a little too hot, but I'm not complaining after all the rain the Gold Coast had .
After a great breaky at the Marriott we headed for sea world.  First ride HAD to be the merry go round much to Beanies disgust, she thought she was way to old to be riding on that, but she did it
 for her Nanna (me )!
Then off to see the penguins, they are so adorable!  The shark tank, amazing, they all looked so healthy and well fed! Time to see the Dolphins which by the way are my fav and then another ride!!

Viking ride was fun!!Ok ! Thats about the extent of my rides, my heart won"t take too much more!!         There was plenty to do and see and we did spend most of the day there but was extremely hot walking around so off to wet and wild to cool off!

Oh boy did they have some scary slides there ....this Nanna ain't going on these ones thankyou very much . I'll just be content in the wave pool and take pics!!!    So after an exhausting day its off to the hotel to shower and get ready for a night on the town and dinner!!

Time to eat drink and be merry before the big day at another theme park....Movie world!       

Beanie with her auntie Skye, whom we brought along to go on the rides with Beanie as poppa and I weren't up to them all!!  Another long day with plenty to see, fantastic stunt work and scary rides. It was so hot we had to go back to wet and wild to cool off !  Had a lovely catch up with some family members for dinner !!

Myself and friends!!     So although it was a 3 day affair we managed to fit a lot in and of course little 11yr old munchkin grandaughter was extremly happy !! Soo it was a great success!!

And she didnt forget her siblings ....she took them something from movie world!!

Made it!

Well the day started off fab! I was up at 5.30 and out the door by 8.30, making sure I  got to Lisa's (daughter) way before it was time to leave for the airport. I was there to pick up Beanie (grandkid) and wizz her off to the Gold coast for a long weekend.
She deserved it cause she was always helping out with her little siblings Milo 3 and Isla 2 and now it was her time to get spoilt! (altho I do spoil her quite frequently) and adorable as they are , they can be be quite a handful.

So getting to the airport was no 

problem, and we had to pick up Skye (youngest daughter) who by the way is 26yrs old, but when we arrived the que was a mile long so that took us 30 mins patiently (err not) waiting in line to bag drop!  Phew that was some wait so we thought , lets go thru security and grab a bite to eat!!  Ha! the line to go thru there was 2 miles long!!!!! You have to be kidding, least of all to say some were getting a little hot under the collar esp when they had almost got to the front of the line only to be told they were in the business class line and had to go to the back of the 2 mile long que and start again!   Arrrrrr get me outta here!

But we are here now and have had a lovely afternoon by the pool and then resting up now in the room and looking forward to 2 theme parks tomorrow!

Babysitting Day!

Its been a stinker of a hot day today and the aircon still hasn't been fixed!
I've had to resort to buying a huge fan from the GoodGuys and am now being blown across the room!!  Babysitting were my duties for the day and they were little angels. Altho grandson did ask me why I had big boobies. I told him cause I was a Nanna!  He said with a very cross look..".Nannas don't have big boobies".  I told him yes they do, look at BarMa (thats the other nanna) so God knows what he'll say to her when she visits!!!

What...Its Summertime!!

Well its suppose to be summer, although some of the days are beautiful,
they seem to be here and there with the cold days, gale force winds, rain, thunder, lightening, sitting by the heater, then dying of the heat and thats all in one day!!!     Ohhh I love Melbourne!!
Well must admit its way better than being home in Port Douglas at the moment. Humidity will be in the hight 80-90's and I can't hack that....way too hot!

And my hair ends up looking like this!!!!!!!!!!

So John my hubby has just flown back to port while I'm residing in the melb house. We had a great christmas and I've just celebrated (not sure if its really something to celebrate) my 66th  year!
 But alas we are heading off to the gold coast next weekend and taking my gorgeous grandchild Beanie. She's so excited and looking forward to visiting all the theme parks !
Taking my youngest daughter Skye and making her go on all the rides with her as I'm way past that now....unless its the merry go round!!
