2014!!!

 So now... Here we are in  the year 2014!!! 

So what's happening so far!!! Ha!!! I've just gotten back from a lovely night at my daughter Lisa's place where I tried to push her husband into the pool... ( he wasn't amused) as usual ... No 

sense of humor. Wouldn't really have done it anyway... Just a bit of fun...

.. Aw well tooo bad...!!

Got a sore throat from scaring a friend of my daughters kid into thinking I'm a witch ( not tooo hard)  and now at home where I'd better just go to bed and start all over again!!!!! .. !!  HAPPY NEW YEAR !! All the best for 2014! Let's hope it's a beauty for everyone!!!!.... 

What will the coming year bring ... LETS SEE!! 

Well it"s been busy!!

Yep, what a busy few months I've had!  Having friends and family stay over and travelling back and forth to Melb.  Funniest thing is I went to a medium to have a look into my future, and she told me 5 years ago that when in my early sixties I would be travelling an awful lot and I'd also become very well off!!!!! Well the travelling part has come true and I'm now waiting in anticipation for the "well off" part to come into effect!!!!        

 Can't really complain as I'm sitting out here in the warmth punching this on the iPad .... So I'd say I'm already well off!!   Just back from Melb after celebrating my oldest grandaughters 10th birthday!  Seems like she was only just born yesterday so hence the years are creeping up mighty fast !  ( hmm reminds me to book in for my Botox).   So here we were at a Monster high birthday party and boy things have changed ! No barbie dolls and fairy outfits but coloured hair and fishnet stockings!!! 

    All the kids were so well behaved and polite.... Oh.... That was until they got into the red lemonade  and then of course all hell broke out with loud talking and running around the house... Lol.....

               Nanna.. ( that's moi) just filled up her champagne glass and took a rather large swig..... !!!!!!!!!!!!!

           Cake was made by the mother... Lisa... Full of chocolate, smarties and kit kats!! Although delicious all that sugar wasn't improving the situation!!!  Ohhhh myyyyy!!!!!!!

         Thanks to other daughter Skye who took over the games ...... She had them all hopping and bopping to the beat of the drum getting rid of some of that pent up energy!!! Meanwhile the adults enjoyed a little beverage!!                                 

    

 And poppa checks his phone to make sure Rudd was still PM .... Therefore securing his bet...($500)   

All in all it turned out a fab night .... Kids all had a ball and Adults all fell into bed exhausted!!!!!

Carnivale Time In Port Douglas!

Well that time again and the Carnivale was in full swing. Its been a busy time up to now with trips to Brisbane Melbourne and Vietnam, friends and relos coming up to stay, mothers day thrown in and eating drinking with no time to scatch me bot!!!! Just picked up another friend to come up for the long weekend and party at Carnivale!!  Its a yearly event and draws in people from all over Australia and Overseas!...Great Gatsby was the theme this year and what a hoot that was.

 Costumes were ordered and worn with the utmost delight!  Ordered the costume for my friend coming up and didnt let her know till it was getting ready time!!

  She looked like a gal straight from the Gatsby Era!  Yep time to Partai!!  It was a fantastic night  and we had the privilege of having Mahalia Barnes sing, boy what a fantastic voice!  Takes after her dad Jimmy!!...Ohh and of course can't forget  the next door neighbors!

  This is how we started the night off ...by the end of the night our very distinguished neighbor ended up thus!! ....hahahaha!! As did we all!!!!

 An absolutely great night was had by all and the Gatsby Night was a roaring success!!  Port Douglas you know how to put on a great Carnivale.   Can't wait for next years!  Now I wonder what that theme will be...hmmmmm!!!!!

Two Choices!!

Well really wondering if I'm using my iPhone way too much! I mean its ridiculous!  Hubby sent me a lovely text message the other day and instead of replying I was looking for the like button!!!!   And reading a magazine I tried to enlarge the pic.... !!!!  Also getting terribly mixed up going from reading books to iPad reading.... Keep licking my finger to turn the page whilst on the iPad!   Is it just me or does it happen to others!  What about trying to fast forward the commercials when it's live tele!!!  Maybe it's my age but never used to have these problems!  Watch the TV and sit threw all the ads regardless ... Read a book held in the hands and put a book mark where I left off!   Cook ordinary meat and three vege dishes and not feel stressed because its not gourmet !!!  Not much of a cook anyway, although I must say I love watching MKR because I'm fascinated !    Having to be in the know with all and sundry.... Twitter accounts ( of which I have) and I'm not sure why!!! Well must keep up with it all!  Facebook, Instagram, blogs, Vimeo , utube, emicons, words with friends, god the list goes on!   Not to mention flight board so I can track where everyone's going!!!!  Where will it all end!  Well all I can say is we have two choices...... TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!!  For the moment I'll take IT.... cause I'm too scared to leave IT, or I won't know what's going on and will be left way behind!!!!

New Little Munchkins!

Well haven't been here for a while and I really do not know  why!!!!!   Have had a stack of stuff happening and somehow got caught up in all the shit and forgot about posting!!!   Life has been ongoing and my gorgeous family has expanded...We now have the handsome Milo and the Exquisite Isla.......So now I am the proud grandnanna of 3 amazing grandkids!!!
